The Big day

The big day has arrived. On Tuesday, 6th January, AVIZAQCUA receives its first official guests. A team from Oxford Lightweights and a team from Carter House School will the pioneers of the rowing centre. It is quite fitting that teams from the country that pioneered the sport are the first ones to try out the fully functional centre.
We are delighted to have the support from Hudson Boat Works, that has granted us the use of a whopping 11 (eleven!) boats – eights, fours, doubles and singles, which will be available to rent for the teams visiting the centre. We are also very grateful for the excellent support from the Camara Municipal de Avis, who has been in the forefront of this project since the beginning.
