Spring is blossoming everywhere in Avis and the water is as still has ever. But the stillness of the water is being shattered regularly as the crews training in Avizaqcua Training Centre up the tempo of their Olympics and Worlds preparations.

Norway's single sculler Olaf Tufte was back, and newcomers to Avis, the Irish men's squad and the Czech's women are being introduced to the Maranhao reservoir as these lines are going to print. The 6km time trials are now a regular for most teams, and even some old glories get to join in the action, as 95' World Medalist and High Performance Director of the Danish, Lars Christensen squad can attest.
Danish Lightweight Men 8+ arrived along with G4, and the Danish crews selected for the Olympics arrive and the end of the month for their third and final camp in Avis this season."
