POST
Switzerland at Avizaqcua
2009-02-18
After the lightweights from Oxford and the Charter House School, it was the turn of the Switzerland National Rowing Team to try out the new Avizaqcua centre and Hotel. Avis was no exception to the bad weather that affected all of Europe, so the camp started with rain and wind. Despite the conditions, the Swiss didn’t miss a water sessions, and their perseverance was soon rewarded with flat water and sunshine coming back halfway during the week.
We also had the opportunity to spend some evenings in the company of fine wine and Tim Foster and Simon Cox, the Swiss national coaches, and we grabbed the chance to score a great interview with Tim. The interview will be published on the website soon. The Norwegian juniors also arrived for their first camp of 2009, and later in March will be the turn of the senior team and Olympic champion and Avizacqua ambassador Olaf Tufte. see the pictures
